What does it feel like to be enveloped in darkness? To be surrounded by shadows that threaten to overwhelm you? It can be a scary feeling, but it can also be strangely comforting. There’s something about the darkness that makes you feel safe and hidden from the rest of the world.

But what about when the darkness is pierced by light? When a ray of light breaks through the gloom and shines down on you? That can be a disorienting experience, like being pulled out of a dream. But it can also be beautiful, like seeing the world in a new and different way.

That’s what this piece of music is about. It’s about the contrast between light and dark, and how they can both be equally intense experiences. It’s about how the interplay between shadow and light can create something new and different and beautiful.
